Think blockchain: Dubai Aims for Paperless Governance

In a step towards true digital revolution, Dubai has announced plans to become the world’s first blockchain-powered government by 2020. This means that the emirate wants all visa applications, bill payments and license renewals to be transacted digitally using blockchain technology. The latter is an incorruptible system of digital ledgers that cuts out middlemen, decentralizes access to information and makes data totally transparent.
